How to Stop Third-Party Apps From Reading Your Email

Whenever you click that easy “Sign in With Google” button on a company’s website, you’re granting the app or service access to some of your information. While in some cases that might just be access to your name and email address, for others you’re giving that company the ability to read your email as well.

Sure, that sign-on was super simple, but you’re giving something up in return.

The Wall Street Journal did a big story on this a few months ago, which surprised a lot of people. Now, it’s warning users again that there are still third-party apps reading your email. It’s a good reminder, and if you haven’t already, now’s a good time for you to check out what apps and services you’re granting access to your email to.

I know for me, there are a few apps I have intentionally given access to my email to in the past, specifically those that will let me know about price drops or help me get some cash from airlines if my flights get screwy. For instance, App in the Air has access to my Gmail, as does Streak, a service I use to track email.

To see what’s connected to your account, click here on a desktop computer.

From there, go to “Apps with account access” under the “Sign-in & security.” It’s the third option on the left sidebar if you’re having trouble finding it.

The next page will show you all the apps that have access to your Google account as well as all the sites you have saved passwords for using Google Smart Lock.

If you click on the app section, Google will list all the apps that have access to your account, along with what they have access to. For instance, I gave Pdffiller the ability to see my basic account and profile info, and my email address. If you see one you’d like to remove access for, click on it and a blue button will appear allowing you to remove it.

Unfortunately, if you want to use an app that needs info from your email, then you’re going to have to be comfortable giving that app access to everything or choose to give it nothing and not use it at all.

That said, it’s always a good idea to set a reminder to review what apps you’ve given access to your account to on a regular basis, both to remind yourself who might be reading and to revoke access to those apps you don’t want to use anymore.

Seven Things To Do On A Sunday To Set You Up For A Really Good Week

The key to having a really amazing week is to start it on a right note. What you do on Sunday has a big impact on how you feel the rest of the week, which is why it’s so important to implement a few easy Sunday rituals. From choosing cute outfits to meal prepping, here are seven Sunday rituals that will set you up for a really good week.

Meal Prep

Carving out just a couple of hours on Sunday to meal prep will allow you to get all of your meals ready for you to just grab and eat during the week. Not only will it save you time and stress, but it also makes it so much easier to eat healthy since you don’t have to think about it. Try to make it a fun ritual by flipping through your favorite cookbooks or trying one of these tasty recipes!

2. Choose Your Outfits

Standing in front of your closet in the morning trying to figure out what to wear before you rush off to work is a huge waste of time. Instead, prep all your outfits for the week on Sunday, so you can spend that extra morning time getting a little more sleep.

3. Clean Up Your Space

The way your space looks makes a huge impact on the way you feel. If your home is messy, you feel like your life is a hot mess, too. Kick off the week right by spending a little time on Sunday just tidying everything up — it doesn’t need to be a deep clean, just putting things away and clearing off the countertops can make a difference. Don’t underestimate how amazing it feels to wake up to — get home to — a clean space.

4. Enjoy Some Self-Care

You’ve probably read the Pinterest quote, “A Sunday well spent brings a week of content” a million times, but it’s so true. Taking time for yourself on Sunday will boost your mood, relieve stress, and will make you feel overall happier so that you can dive into the new week with a good mindset. Whether it’s taking a bubble bath, putting on a face mask and watching Netflix, or going out to do something fun, make your Sunday self-care time non-negotiable.

5. Set Your Intention

Setting an intention for the week ahead is so powerful. It’s not so much about goal setting or what you want to check off your to do list; it’s more about deciding how you want to feel in advance. Maybe you’re setting the intention to drink more water so you feel energized, or maybe  you just want to be more mindful and slow things down. Set an intention for how you want to feel and let it be your guiding light throughout the week.

6. Plan Out Your Week

This one is especially important if you know you have a busy week up ahead. Instead of just letting your to-do list rattle around in your mind, get it all down on paper and map out when you’ll get what done. This will instantly relieve some stress which allows you to focus on just the tasks that need to get done for the day — instead of feeling overwhelmed by everything that needs to get done that week.

7. Clean Out Your Purse

Our purses hold pretty much our entire lives, so they can very quickly get cluttered with receipts, trash, and who knows what else, making it impossible to find what you need when you need it. Cleaning out your purse every Sunday takes just a few minutes, but you’ll thank yourself so much when you don’t have to go swimming in your purse to find your car keys.

I'm far richer than Davido - Fela's daughter

Motunrayo Anikulapo Kuti, one of the daughters of Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, has bragged about being richer than Davido.

The entertainment enthusiast and music promoter told Vanguard Nigeria that her net worth is 10 times higher than what Davido is parading as fortune.

“I’ve royalties I collect and my net worth is ten times more than Davido’s. If I begin to think of how long I’ve been making money or when I started making millions, Davido had not dreamt of making the money he’s spending now,” she said.

The 35-years-old daughter of the late music legend is also not a fan of Davido's music and she explained her reason for not 'digging' the OBO star.

Motunrayo said, "I don’t think Davido is a good artiste, I don’t like him. I’ve never related to his songs because he usually sings about girls, love, money and I’m not interested in that kind of music. I want music that would give me intelligence, music that would make me feel okay when I’m in a particular situation, not songs that would be telling me about a woman, a gold digger, an expensive shoe, accessory or whatever. That’s why I love Nicki Minaj; if you listen to her hardcore songs you’ll get a lot of intelligence from it.”

6 Dream-Crushing Things You’ll Realize Upon Completing Your Summer Internship

As summer internships come to a close, it’s time to loosen up those starched-out ties, make Facebook statuses with an irrational amount of caps, and tweet out a pic of your now-empty NYU summer dorm room, ultimately a failed attempt to manufacture ridiculously forced and underserved nostalgia.

While your 9+ hours of daily white-collar slavery wasn’t always fun and games (despite the company-wide internship photo making it appear that way), there is no doubt each and every intern has learned a wealth of valuable lessons this summer:

1. The Dry Cleaning Industry Needs To Seriously Re-evaluate Itself

Other than stay-at-home moms, college kids, and everyone in their 20s, the world works for a living. Generally, this “work”–often a euphemism for reading those odd articles on Yahoo! News–is conducted between the hours of 8am and 7pm.

Logic would assume that if a dry cleaners wanted to attract customers, they should be open when people are able to go to their establishment. While this is a paradox unresolved for decades, it is one that college interns are often confronted with for the very first time. .

2. Your (Gchat) Skills Have Dramatically Increased

Among the various skills you have acquired this summer (how to milk assignments for as long as possible, how to order sandwiches for people who don’t want tomatoes on them), there is likely none greater than your mastery of AIM 2.0. Whether its intentionally not clicking on a previously read conversation to make it seem like you have a new message (thus, giving you an excuse to click out of your excel spreadsheet), or simply juggling three conversations at once, there is no denying how far you’ve come here.

3. You Definitely Overdressed

Are we going to your little cousin’s communion, or are we sitting in a backroom sorting boxes and making copies of things that neither of us understand? Workaholics makes so much sense now.

4. Real World People Take The Weekend Way Too Seriously

Because “how was your weekend?” is essentially the working world’s way of saying “so do you completely suck, or are you someone who I can send Onion articles to?”, it is always crucial to make your personal life seem as interesting as possible.

While your manager doesn’t really give a sh*t that you spent a solid day at the beach that was followed up by going to a restaurant owned by Bruce Willis (“Nah, he wasn’t there. Could you imagine though?”) it is these sorts of things that will enable your office superiors to brag about the diverse and lively “culture” of your firm. SEE! WE DON’T JUST ROLL OUR SLEEVES UP AND DOWN ALL DAY! **

At the same time though, it is important not to seem too cool. Being too cool = risking being as sh*tty as the Brandt Borthers . Unpaid interns hitting up bottle service is unsightly. Know your role, and play the part accordingly.

**The irony here is that half the time, this is said to attract prospective interns. And the world turns.

5. Your Ideas Don’t Matter, Mostly Because They Probably Suck

Many a kid walks into his or her internship, and within a week thinks the company’s business plan sucks, and what the f*ck are they doing, and I’m the biggest genius ever but “they don’t give me a chance.”

Maybe your “not getting a chance” has something to do with you being there a week, and everyone else being there seven years? I know it sounds crazy, but that just might be it.

6. If Your Life Hasn’t Peaked Already, It Will Very Soon

After realizing that about 75% of the working world spends the majority of their day disliking the majority of their day, you will begin to realize that DOOM is inevitable, and the end is near. For about 99% of us, the employed world offers only three possibilities – we can either hate ourselves, secretly hate ourselves, or act like a martyr and never go out to dinner.

Choosing wisely is important, but its perhaps more important to convince yourself that you’ll be in college forever. Getting sh*tfaced 5 nights a week may get a little old by the end of senior year, except that it doesn’t, especially compared to what’s on the other side. Make sure to go big, because its only a matter of time until you’ll have to start rushing home to pick up your dry cleaning.

Girl, 6, whose lip was BITTEN OFF by her own mum to 'stop her crying' dies year after being adopted

Katya, who suffered from cerebral palsy, started crying at night and woke her mother, who became enraged at being woken up

A disabled girl whose lower lip was bitten off by her mother to stop her crying has died after her heart suddenly stopped.

In 2015, Katya Spesivtseva, aged six at the time, was assaulted by her mother Ludmila, then 33, in the town of Revda in west-central Russia's Sverdlovsk Oblast region.

Katya, who suffered from cerebral palsy, started crying at night and woke her mother, who became enraged at being woken up.

Ludmila approached Katya's crib and attacked her daughter. She started beating the girl, telling her to "shut up" but the terrified youngster began crying even louder.

doctors said that the mother had tried to bite Katya's nose as well

Katya was left for several days before her mother called an ambulance

The enraged mother then clenched her teeth onto Katya's lower lip in anger and tore it off.

Katya spent several days in intense pain without medicine before her mother called an ambulance.

The girl was rushed to hospital and doctors said that the mother had tried to bite Katya's nose as well during the ordeal but failed.

They also found a lot of bruises, fresh and old, on the victim's body.

Photos show Katya in hospital with her lower lip missing.

Katya spent a year receiving treatment in different hospitals and doctors found she was suffering from numerous neglected diseases she had contracted due to a lack of care.

She was then adopted by Anna Makarova-Bespalova from the Black Sea resort town of Anapa in south-western Russia's Krasnodar Krai region.

Katya's mother was sentenced to four years in prison for the assault and the court also deprived her of her parental rights.

According to local media, Katya spent the last year of her life with the Makarov-Bespalovs family, who surrounded her with care and love before she suddenly died from heart failure at age nine.

Anna Makarova-Bespalova, who became Katya's mother, said: "We were not ready for Katyusha [diminutive for Katya] to decide to leave us.

"And although she was not with us for too long, the whole family has a hard time because of the loss."

Katya's father left the family just after the child's birth and had never been in contact with her

Robots Will Create More Jobs Than They Displace

Millions of jobs are likely to be displaced by automation but we have less to fear from robots than some might think, a report from the World Economic Forum has suggested.

The Swiss think tank predicts that robots will displace 75 million jobs globally by 2022 but create 133 million new ones - a "net positive".

It said that advances in computing would free up workers for new tasks. But others have warned there is no guarantee lost jobs will be replaced.

The World Economic Forum, which runs the famous Davos networking event, said that robots and algorithms would "vastly improve" the productivity of existing jobs and lead to many new ones in the coming years. As a result we would see more data analysts, software developers and social media specialists, as well as job roles based on "distinctively human traits" such as customer service workers and teachers.

However, the think tank said that the gains would come amid "significant disruption" as some roles become "increasingly redundant".

It sees robots swiftly replacing positions in accounting firms, factories and post offices, as well as secretarial roles and cashier work.

Amid this "significant shift" workers would need to be retrained to update their skills, it said.

It also urged governments to prepare safety nets for workers whose jobs are lost.

Tiwa Savage blasted show promoters and organisers

Popular Nigeria singer, Tiwatope Savage a.k.a. Tiwa Savage has blasted show promoters and organisers for abandoning her after performing at an event in Kenya.

The Mavin Record First Lady took to her twitter handle @TiwaSavage on Monday morning to express her anger with several message broadcast on the manner she was treated.

The 38 year-old mother of one put up an electrifying performance at the launch of Swabri Mohammed a.k.a. Redsan’ fifth Album `Baddest’ at the Carnivore Restaurant in Nairobi Kenya at the weekend.

The 37 year-old Redsan is Kenyan regga musician and the most well famous reggae and dancehall artists in East Africa.

The Redsan’s album launch concert featured Jamaican Dance Hall artist Demarco, Nigeria’s Tiwa Savage, as well as Kenya hip hop artist, Khaligraph Jones.

“Checking out of the hotel and full accommodation not paid for, no car to take us to the airport and promoters want to talk trash about artists.

“Funny how everyone is asleep and phones are off after the show but the blow up your phone when they need you for radio and press runs before the show.

“We shall still continue in this thought, because the fans deserved better regardless of what happens behind the scenes,’’ she wrote.

Tiwa however stated that the ill treatment to her by the show promoters would not stop her from loving Kenya. “I love Kenya, always have and always will’’.

5 Indispensable Things My Father Taught Me About Getting Through Life

Dear Greeting Card Writers:

Another Father’s Day is approaching and yet again, you leave me empty-handed. You see, my father does not have a flatulence problem. I’ve never seen him crack open a can of beer, and the remote control is more likely to be in the dog’s mouth than in his hand. My Dad is not the fix-it guy. He’s the guy who calls the fix-it guy. And while he knows how to use a grill, he doesn’t parade around grunting “Me Man. Man like meat,” exuding machismo. While I go through the usual search, I know I won’t find a card that is suitable for me to send to him and that is a shame, because I would like to express my gratitude. He has given me so much and amongst the many things I have to be thankful for are the life lessons that he has taught me. Here are just a few:

5. Don’t take life too seriously, you’ll never get out alive.

Having this perspective on life makes it all the more fun. Tell jokes. Do something crazy. Be silly. Since the time I could speak, I was reciting jokes my father taught me. What did the giraffe say to his friends? Everyone to the bar, the highballs are on me! It’s even more amusing hearing inappropriate jokes from the mouth of a child. If you have one, I highly recommend teaching them some. My dad found it hilarious to have me go up to women in the supermarket and ask them “Are you my mommy?” I was his little minion, delivering his comedic gold. Finding the funny in everyday situations as well as sharing it with others is our way of living life to the fullest.

4. Just ask!

If you want something, ask for it. A simple thought, yet many of us, including myself, never ask for what we want. In most scenarios, the worst they can say is “No.” Especially while working in television, as I do, I have been offered jobs and have been expected to accept them on the spot. My father has pushed me to just ask. “Do they offer health insurance? Can you ask for more money? What are the hours?” All valid questions yet I would respond with “I don’t know…” Well, just ask! Sometimes the answers were disappointing, but I was never disappointed that I asked the questions.

3. If you’re not invited, invite yourself.

My father has always been a proponent of this philosophy and in many cases it has worked in his favor. While it may seem a bit pushy, and can sometimes come off as rude, often, it gets you to where you want to be. Your friends are going to an awesome concert. Hey, got an extra ticket? Someone mentions a fun house party they are going to. What time should I show up? Of course, I realize this advice has its limitations but it can lead to some really enjoyable experiences if used properly. It’s how I got myself included in my parents’ recent trip to Napa (wine was great, the glass shower in the middle of the room, slightly awkward).

2. Don’t let others hold you back.

What does a Joan Rivers’ comedy show, a Lady Gaga concert, and a course in forensic dentistry all have in common? When he couldn’t get anyone else to join him, my father went on his own. If there are things in life you want to do, do them regardless of if you can get someone else to come along. It’s a lesson in independence. Opportunities shouldn’t be forsaken because you can’t find a companion to join. Hopefully, following this example hasn’t contributed to my singledom…

1. Try it, you’ll like it.

My father is open to new experiences and has shared this thirst for life with me. Often referring to food, he’ll say this catchphrase when anyone is hesitant. If you try it, you’ll like it (perhaps) but you’ll never know if you don’t try.

So you see, I need a greeting card that speaks to my father’s sense of adventure, his confidence, and his ability to go for what he wants in life. I repeat, he is not a farting, beer-guzzling, TV-watching, Tim “The Toolman,” grill master. And I’m sure there are many more unrepresented fathers out there.

Sincerely,

Help A Daughter Out, Hallmark! Please?

Image of Google's unreleased Pixelbook 2 laptop leaks online

We're now less than a month away from Google's big hardware event, and another of its upcoming products may have just leaked.

Gadget site Chrome Unboxed on Sunday published what may be the first image of the Pixelbook 2, a laptop that Google is expected to announce at its hardware event on October 9.

The image, which is in the form of a Chromebook advertisement, shows a similar design to the original Pixelbook that came out last year, with one notable difference: slimmer bezels, or edges around the screen.

The ad appears to be legitimate, according to Chrome Unboxed, clicking on the "Shop now" button took the user to the Pixelbook page of the Google Store.

Like last year's Pixelbook, the device appears to be a convertible laptop-tablet hybrid with a foldable screen and compatible stylus, called the Pixelbook Pen. The original Pixelbook cost $999, plus an additional $99 for the pen.

This isn't the first Google product to leak before the upcoming event. In recent weeks, numerous photos and videos have leaked that appear to reveal the design and specs of the Pixel 3 phone. In fact, someone seems to have left one of the new phones in the back of a Lyft car last week.

Google's Made By Google event will be held in New York City on October 9.

Sapiosexuals: Do They Exist?

"Until I meet a man that goes, 'Wow! What a hot soul!" I doubt I will take that sapiosexual nonsense seriously." Ada says.

A Sapiosexual person is said to be someone who finds intelligence and the human mind to be the most sexually attractive feature in the opposite sex.

The origin of the word comes from the term "sapiens," which means wise or judicious, as well as the word, “sexual”

However, I have come to find that sometimes when men say they want intelligence and meet intelligence they don’t appreciate.

They want sexy body parts and beautiful faces.

Women are guilty too. They want to see muscles, hair and all that masculinity.

Do you think sapiosexuals actually exist or these are just social media constructs without any basis?

Have your say…

Cell phone addiction causes hearing loss – Experts

Some medical practitioners in the South-East have warned that people addicted to cell phones risked hearing loss.

They made this known in separate interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

In Owerri, a medical doctor, Dr Charles Obi, identified hearing loss as the most common issue associated with constant cell phone usage.

Obi told NAN that other effects included headaches, insomnia and tiredness often as a result of lack of sleep.

The medical practitioner also added that other not so common side effects included brain tumours, hypertension and stroke.

He said this could be linked to the radiation emitted by cell phones which cause health problems with prolonged usage.

He, however, suggested using earpieces for answering calls and to avoid making calls when the phone was overheated to lessen the effects on the ear.

A secondary school teacher, Ms Linda Eze, said most schools have resorted to seizing cell phones from students who insist on bringing such gadgets to school.

Eze said in some cases, parents and guardians were made to pay fines and retrieve the phones at the end of the school session as a deterrent.

Messrs Chioma Nze and Adaure Inyama, both students, said that they use their phones to make purchases over the internet.

A father of four, Mr Emeka Uzoma, decried the level of cell phone addiction among young people and suggested more stringent measures against the practice.

According to him, this has led to decreased academic performance and anti-social behaviours because of the amount of time dedicated to social media.

An officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr Bright Enyi, said that a great percentage of road accidents have been caused by cell phone usage.

Enyi said majority of the accidents involved women drivers who were either texting or making calls while driving.

He called for stiffer punishments such as imprisonment without option of fine for drivers who use their cell phones while driving.

In Umuahia, some residents told NAN that cell phone addiction had ruined many families and marriages.

An itinerant preacher, Mr Steve Wokoh, said that addiction to phones had negative effect on family bonding.

Wokoh said that when one of the couple in a home was addicted to phone, it would affect the relationship between them on the one hand and their children on the other hand.

“There are times the man will need attention but because the woman is fiddling with her cell phones, it becomes difficult for the man.

“It could apply to the woman being unable to get the meal ready for the home or any other duties.

“The same goes for an addicted husband. Such a man will unwittingly continue to deny the wife or children the needed attention,” Wokoh said.

Also, a civil servant, Mrs Ifeoma Tochukwu, said that getting addicted to phone causes procrastination.

Tochukwu said that people who were addicted hardly gave prompt attention to urgent assignments.

“When you are addicted to phone and there is something that requires urgent attention, you will continue to delay until it becomes late,” Tochukwu said.

Mr Celestine Orji, a farmer, said that the dangers associated with phone were similar to the dangers of getting trapped to an electronic device or lifestyle.

“Addiction either to electronic devices, habit or drugs, causes severe devastation to people’s lives. It is simply destructive and people should discipline themselves in order to avoid addiction with its dangers,” Orji said.

A Catholic priest, Rev.-Fr. Christian Anokwuru, said that phone addiction could even be found among clergymen.

Anokwuru said that during Mass, some worshippers that were addicted to phone spend more time with their phones than listen to gospel and liturgy.

He also said that clergymen that were addicted to phones usually exhibited their addiction at ceremonies and events where they were not officiating.

He said that because of the dangers associated with addiction, especially among Catholic priests, Pope Francis recently warned priests to desist from such a habit.

Anokwuru described phone addiction as “a disease that has become endemic in our society”.

A cell phone dealer in Umuahia, Mr Frank Ihejirika, noted that more residents were getting addicted to phones.

Ihejirika, who owns Rikas Integrated Services Limited, said that phone addiction was largely a youth problem.

He said that the female-folks were more addicted to phones than the male-folks.

He said that addiction to phone had reflected “positively” in an increase in the demand for big, exotic and expensive phones.

He also said that apart from making and receiving calls, people also use phones for Facebook, Whatsapp, Instagram and video games.

Ihejirika added that the abuse of phones, including making calls while walking on the road or driving, could lead to accidents.

He further said that the quest to get bigger phones often made young girls easy prey to randy men, who abuse them sexually.

Another respondent, Mr Loveday Michael, a telecommunication engineer, said that there was an increase in the rate of phone addiction in the state.

Michael said that both youths and adults were victims, adding that addiction applied to both sexes.

He regretted that aside from social media platforms and games, some people, especially youths, use cell phones to view pornographic pictures and Internet scam.

“This has also caused another major addiction to photography among the youths,” Michael said.

He further said that phone had a dangerous emission, which could damage the ear or cause cancer due to over exposure to the device.

Michael urged the government to initiate measures that could help to curtail the abuse of cell phones in the country.

In Enugu State, Dr Ethel Chime, an Otolaryngologist with the Enugu State University Teaching Hospital, urged phone users to always spend lesser time in making use of their phone.

Chime told NAN that spending less time making calls or browsing with phone would go a long way to prevent some of the health hazards associated with the use of cell phones.

The doctor listed some common health hazards of phone addiction to include headaches, ear aches, vision problems, neck pains, inactivity, intellectual laziness and acoustic neuroma, which is a tumour that grows on the balance and hearing nerve in the head that might cause hearing loss.

Chime said aside the fact that putting the cell phone close to the ear for a long time during calls, some hands free devices such as earpiece and headphones were even more dangerous.

She noted that some of these hands free were inserted into the ear canal while some have high decibels that were not standard for the ear, thereby causing acoustic neuroma which later results into deafness and various ear infections.

She added that electromagnetic waves released by cell phones were other reasons why one should not stay long pressing the phone, warning that most phone radiations during calls or Internet usage were usually high and were harmful to human health.

Chime advised that time spent on phones should be limited and if one should use hands-free, it should be one that covers just the outer ears and one which the maximum loudness was within normal standard.

A Senior Support Staff of a telecommunications, Mr Mark Obi, also said phone addiction was more common among females compared to males.

He said females walk in and buy more data than males because they want to get the latest gist and fashion trends as it was breaking.

Obi added that as far as social media was concerned they would always want to chat because they were easily bored.

According to him, phone addiction is more among youths and very minimal among adults as far as Nigeria is concerned.

Mr Victor Unegbu, a phone user, said he only sticks to his phone whenever he was done with the day’s work by chatting on WhatsApp and Telegraph as well reading newspapers.

Emerging Trend of Teachers Raping Pupils: Are Your Children Safe?

In Enugu, police detectives have arrested one Idoko Nathaniel, a primary school teacher in Enugu State for allegedly raping his female pupils ages 5 and 6.

Idoko Nathaniel, 50, is a headmaster in charge of Migrant Farmers Children School located at Aguibeji Enugu Ezike in Igboeze North Local Government Area of Enugu State. He is alleged to have raped more than 4 school children all below the age of 7.

According to the State Police Public Relations Officer, Ebere Amaraizu, one of the children he had defiled told her parent what transpired at school and that led to his arrest.

He adds that Idoko is now asking for forgiveness. He claims it was the devil that used his fingers on the private parts of the four female school pupils which inflicted serious injuries on them.

.....

Questions I ponder are as follows...

Are these new developments OR have since been going on?

Research say these were occurrences that happened in the past and were even found out.

However, those days many like today use the silence culture - in the guise of protecting the family name would keep this silent. Sometimes the victim was blamed.

How do we even discern when people supposed to protect and nurture the kids go ahead to defile them?

We have serious issues on our hands. A grave danger everyone must take on board to solve.

That is the only way to keep our future generations safe.

12 Movie Sex Scenes That Are Better Than Porn

Oral Sex – Blue Valentine (2010)

The authenticity in this scene between Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams is the entire reason why Blue Valentine was originally rated NC-17. Enough said.

The Affair – Chloe (2009)

In this film, a woman (Julianne Moore) hires an escort (Amanda Seyfried) to seduce her husband, and then ends up getting seduced herself, culminating in this steamy scene. Seyfried is seriously at her best, and I would apologize that the clip is in a different language, but I doubt anyone even noticed.

Annette & Sebastian – Cruel Intentions (1999)

This cherry-popping scene between Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe is heightened by the fact that these two actors were already in a serious relationship outside the film. The chemistry is tangible, and really makes us wish Reese and Ryan could have somehow made it work.

Library Scene – Atonement (2007)

Nothing is sexier than two immensely attractive people going at it a few rooms down from a huge dinner party. Cecilia and Robbie really were amazing together, and then stupid Briony had to ruin everything with her lies. WE HATE YOU BRIONY. Well, at least we can watch this scene over and over (and over and over) again and pretend they ended up together.

The First Time – Blue Is The Warmest Color (2013)

The film tracks the relationship between two women as comes of age while experimenting with a same-sex relationship. This particular scene clocks in at a surprising seven minutes, and features very graphic sex between the two main characters. This one almost didn’t make the list simply because there’s an argument to be made that the scene is actually porn. But it’s technically in a movie, so here it is.

Ice Cube Scene – Nine ½ Weeks (1986)

In this film starring Kim Basinger and Mickey Rourke, the two characters enter into an impersonal affair, featuring this creative use of an ice cube.

Tent Scene – Brokeback Mountain (2005)

Two cowboys have never been sexier than in this scene when the two protagonists finally put an end to the pent-up sexual tension that exists between the two of them.

Piano Scene – Pretty Woman (1990)

This scene, between businessman Edward Lewis (Richard Gere) and prostitute Vivian Ward (Julia Roberts), is great because of how raw Gere and Roberts make it feel. Plus, what’s sexier than a grand piano?

Noah & Allie Make Up Sex – The Notebook (2004)

Say what you want about this movie, the sex scene that comes right after the infamous why-didn’t-you-write-me-kissing-in-the-rain bit is great, and another instance where real-life romance translates into amazing on-screen chemistry.

Basically Any Sex Scene – Wild Orchid (1989)

This scene (start the video at 5:34) is just one of many sex scenes in this film. The film revolves around a young inexperienced woman who enters into a torrid relationship with an older millionaire (wait, this sounds familiar…). Does the film have good dialogue or plot? Not especially. Is it chalk full of erotic scenes? Absolutely.

Train Scene – Risky Business (1983)

After messing up a college interview, Lana (Rebecca De Mornay) takes Joel (Tom Cruise) onto a deserted train to have sex. The music in combination with the dim lighting makes this scene sexier than we really want scenes with Tom Cruise to be.

Spanking Scene – Secretary (2002)

It’s 50 Shades of Grey before 50 Shades of Grey . In this film, a young woman gets a job as a secretary where her boss introduces her to the world of S & M. This scene, which keeps an unusual amount of clothes on for an erotic scene, shows the secretary’s initial sexual awakening.

Nokia set to release an Android phones with 5 cameras

HMD appears to be working on an impressive camera array for a future Android-powered Nokia handset. Leaked design sketches and images hint that we could be about to see a Nokia-branded phone with five cameras on the rear. The penta-lens setup first appeared in rumors about a Nokia 10 device earlier this year, and now an alleged photo has leaked of the handset.

The camera module includes five lenses arranged in what looks like a circle, with prominent Zeiss branding. HMD Global, the Finnish company that licensed the rights to produce Nokia phones, teamed up with Zeiss last year to reunite the Nokia and Zeiss brands for the Android era. HMD has started to use Zeiss optics in its latest Android handsets, and the lens maker has even patented a miniaturized zoom camera system that looks very similar to this leak.

It’s not clear from the leaked images alone what this five-camera setup would be used for on a Nokia device. Huawei launched its P20 Pro earlier this year with three rear cameras, which support 3x optical zoom or 5x hybrid zoom. LG is also rumored to be considering five cameras (three at the back and two at the front) for its next flagship phone. Five camera sensors could certainly assist in any zoom capability, but they’re likely to do far more than just that. Nokia has a history of camera work, dating back to the 808 PureView and Lumia 1020 cameras, and more recently with the company’s Ozo VR camera.

HMD recently acquired the PureView brand from Microsoft, so we could be about to see a new Nokia PureView phone. That doesn’t mean we’ll see the same image sampling technologies from the 808 or Lumia 1020, as most of Nokia’s talented PureView engineers left the company when Microsoft acquired Nokia’s phone business and killed it off. Apple even hired Nokia’s Lumia photography expert. Still, if a Nokia-branded phone with five cameras is genuine, it could be an interesting entry into the competitive smartphone market.

Police Cry Out, Raise Alert On ISIS Presence In Nigeria

Latest report as the Borno State Police command said yesterday that the Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP), a faction of ISIS, has its spies operating from Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camps in the country.

Ahmed Bello, assistant commissioner of Police, Borno State command, disclosed this while giving update on security situation at a Humanitarian and Development Coordination Forum in Maiduguri.

Bello, who represented the commissioner of Police, Demien Chukwu, said it has been established that three among the 22 ‘Boko-Haram’ insurgents arrested two months ago, were members of ISIS.

He disclosed that the terrorists usually station their stooges at the IDP camps to perpetrate chaos, without being noticed. The ACP said, “We had launched radio programmes aimed at sensitising the larger society on the need to be sensitive of their environment. It will interest you to note that some of the affected victims in camps were not IDPs.

“We have our ways of rating them to the classes of A.B.C. So, if you find any suspicious person, do not just send him away, but arrest him because the terrorists have their sympathisers; they are the people that are giving them information”.

He explained that the arrest of the culprit led to drastic reduction in cases of bomb blasts perpetrated by the insurgents, using Improvised Explosive Device in Maiduguri metropolis.

In his remarks, Bashir Garga, NEMA Northeast Zonal coordinator, commended the Police and other security agencies for providing protection to the IDPs and creating safe working environment for humanitarian aid workers in the Northeast.

"It’s Ok “not to be Ok sometimes my Brother” and there’s no shame to it! I’ve been there! The western world that we emulate has lost so many lives due to ignorance. Your mind is the greatest weapon to attack the delusional world that we live in bro! Comedian Bovi threatens to beat up Igodye for messing with memories of his late mother

The recent tussle between Nigerian comedians, Igodye and Bovi has just taken a new turn with the latter threatening to beat up the former.

eagleee.com had earlier reported how Bovi shaded Igodye after he criticised ex-governor Uduaghan’s alleged plan to run for Senate.

Igodye had written a lengthy post concerning former Delta state governor Emmanuel Uduaghan’s alleged plan to run for senate in 2019.

He detailed why Uduaghan who according to him is 64 years old should not be seeking for elective office instead he should be nominating someone younger to run.

I Go Dye who shared a photo of Bovi with former governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, had written:

"I GAVE YOU AN OPEN CHALLENGE TO SPEAK FOR DELTAN’S BUT YOU MISQUOTED WINSTON CHURCHILL. BUT FAILED TO USE YOUR OWN QUOTES, AS YOU HAVE ASCRIBED INTELLIGENCE TO YOUR PERSONALITY. This is not an argument or fragmentation of your imagination that is contested,it is the truth against our people that they are using you to divert.I will not reply you again.

How much have you being paid to sell your hard YOUR hard earned reputation, as a beautiful Nigeria youth, that grew to become AKPO’S, now Bovi, only to be commissioned as a Baby lawyer by your favourite Governor Uduaghan?

Someone whose children are graduating today in London ,while Delta State university is still in decay. what made you to accept a baby lawyer’s appointment ,just to support those that have caused pains to millions of Nigerians? who sleep everyday without a meal. It is not about me, but for the sake of our future.

As you are reading this,I want you to realise that someone’s son or daughter is in about engaging in something that is disspeakable, to him or her because of survival, either to be in school , to support their parents who are now old, sick, pensioned denied and living in a rented apartment, while those you are defending are living in glass houses, their children are flying private jets across the world, with no better qualification than those unemployed.

This is what I was against before they tried using you to divert the truth. Why would you chose to become the scapegoat used to cover the mess in exchange of a salty porridge ? So that dem go say Bovi and igodye dey beef.

This is between me and Dr Uduaghan please take yourself out. You have your right to support him to be a Senator, because you have a very close relationship with him, I understand, because na your house he dey so. Tell him the honest truth, that Amb Igodye said he should give room to other young Deltan’s to go for the Senatorial post and not him.

He has been in active governance for 16years and he did nothing for our people. What more can he offer? How much or how many show dem wan give you?

I be one man squad with grace. I will rather stand and die but speak the truth ,than to sell my conscience for money."

Reacting to the new post from I Go Dye, Bovi wrote:

"You just messed with the memory of my late mother. That was in March 2016. RMD brought him to my house to commiserate with me because he wasn’t going to make it to the funeral.

This was days to her funeral. If only you could comprehend averagely, you would have known that my initial question to you had nothing to do with governance! Unlike you, I do not dabble in politics. It’s not my turf. My take on politics comes up mostly on stage.

I’m friends with many governors and politicians simply because they love my work. The present Governor of Delta state was at my mothers funeral as our family’s guest. Unlike you, I have not gone to burden him with self-serving proposals. Please note that I didn’t bother his predecessor too.

That’s always been your game. I was simply calling you out the way you called the governor out. Now look how you’re rattled and running all over the place! Francis, your legacy in the comedy industry cannot be questioned but your shallow intellect has never been up for debate.

If you thought your actions through, you will know that after your multiple visits to the ex-governor, cap in hand, including the one you showcased only a portion of the video on the 30th of April this year, you have no moral standing to speak scathingly and publicly.

When your enlightened writer put up the post on the former vice-president, you called and asked my opinion and I gave you thumbs up. You know why? Because I know you had never taken one of your self-serving proposals to the former VP.

I have nothing against your hustle. If you want to segue into a social critic, it’s fine. But If any of our friends called you out after dining with you for years, I’d do exactly the same thing to that friend as I have done to you. For you to scroll down my IG page to two years ago shows your desperation to drag me in your mud. Don’t do that again.

Go and sin no more. You will be okay.

PS- if you ever mention my children again, I will physically beat you up"

Meanwhile, Igodye is yet to clarify Bovi’s query even as former governor Emmanuel Uduaghan has kept mute.

Women who do the following nine (9) things never get any respect.

The nature of men is that love and respect are intertwined. If a woman wants to be loved, respect should be taken first. Can a man love a woman he does not respect? To be honest, it is hard to believe it. Mutual relationship without respect, of course, take place in our lives, but it is hardly possible to say with certainty that there is love in them.

BetterMe App helps women achieve their body goals with ease and efficiency by helping to choose proper meal plans and effective workouts.

Start using our app and you will see good results in a short time.

How to get respect from a beloved man? People can meet, spend time together, have sex or even live under the same roof. However, in such pairs the woman is a kind of complement to her companion, his shadow, a comfortable toy, however sadly this did not sound, but she is not an individuality - worthy of attention and respect.

Typically, such relationship rarely has a long-term future. Such relationship is doomed to stagnation and in the end, in most cases, fall apart: either a woman opens her eyes or her partner gets bored. We offer you to look at 9 things which you should not do to get his respect:

#1. Do not be a lady "Yes". A woman who agrees with everything that a man proposes or does not say will hardly make him have deep feelings.

#2. Do not get drunk. If one of his friends gets drunk, he will later just say – he had a good time, but a drunk woman, and even in a public place, - is a shame for him.

#3. Have your own life. Most men want to be a part of a woman's life, but not all of her life.

#4. Do not jump into bed with the first person on the line. Sex on the first date is the surest way to start a relationship with disrespect

#5. Do not lie. Honesty is the guarantee of any healthy relationship.

#6. Do not complain about your ex. It is better to confine yourself to several phrases - honest, but exhaustive.

#7. Do not flirt with others. It is not just about jealousy. The fact is that frank flirting will bring you unnecessary fame.

#8. Be yourself. Do not pretend to be someone else - men respect those women who know how to be honest with themselves.

BetterMe App helps you increase your self-esteem and achieve your personal goals by opening the doors to the world of fitness and healthy lifestyle.

Try it now to see the best version of yourself as soon as possible.

#9. Be a lady. Tenderness, femininity, purity are those qualities that never stop being in the price of men, even if they never admit it.

2013 winner of Project fame is now a cab driver. Read all about it here.

The sixth winner of the Project Fame West Africa in 2013, Olawale Ojo, has picked up a job as a cab driver to beat depression.

In a short video posted on Instagram, the reality show star narrated how he had to fight depression when music wasn't going the way he expected. He further narrated how he had to make a choice between selling the car he won after emerging the tops at the Project Fame West Africa in 2013.

Olawale said he had to swallow his pride to pick up a job by signing as a cab driver in Lagos, Nigeria. He explains that he couldn't even sell the car he won "This car that you have, if you sell it to push yourself, you might not even be able to shoot a proper video and promote it. And it's not like there is a guarantee that this song you are promoting, this money you are spending you will get it back, so I felt selling this car would not be an option for me. And, I just told myself that you have to swallow your pride, you have to forget whatever it is, you have to forget the platform or the brand that you represent and you have to hustle, you have to make money because if you die...I started getting so depressed at home, crazy thoughts that I can't even talk about"

In 2014, Olawale released a single, Jupa with a video and went ahead as a solo artist, Olawale to work on an EP titled “Almost Famous” but it seems like things did not work out as he hoped.

Is Coconut Oil Really That Bad? Let’s Look At The Facts

Coconut oil has been heralded as a healthy alternative and a poison but, which is true?

In a recent lecture, professor Karin Michels from the University of Freiburg made the claim that the latest health fad, coconut oil, is “pure poison.” As a previous Inquisitr article points out, Michels is also a professor at the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health, so it is likely she has researched her claims before making her statement which was posted to YouTube and has already garnered over one million views.

So, what are the facts surrounding coconut oil?

As CNN points out, many people think coconut oil is a healthy alternative. A survey conducted in 2016 and published in the New York Times found that 72% of Americans think coconut oil is healthy, versus only 37% of the nutritionists that were polled.

Yet, Michels said in her lecture, which was conducted entirely in German, so this is the English translation, that “coconut oil is one of the worst things you can eat.”

However, while it is a bold statement, it might not be entirely correct. According to Dr. Walter C. Willett, who is a professor of epidemiology and nutrition at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where Michels is also an adjunct professor, coconut oil falls somewhere in the middle range when it comes to good versus bad consumable fats.

“Coconut oil is somewhere in the middle of the spectrum in terms of types of fats. It’s probably better than partially hydrogenated oils, [which are] high in trans fats, but not as good as the more unsaturated plant oils that have proven health benefits, like olive and canola oil.”

The reason for this is the fact that coconut oil contains a high content of saturated fat.

In fact, it has more than 80 percent saturated fat according to the United States Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service (USDA).

Saturated fats are the ones that tend to hang around in your arteries and lead to heart disease according to health experts. However, coconut oil has something else in its makeup, something that is considered good for you.

The saturated fat in coconut oil is what leads to LDL cholesterol, also known as the “bad” cholesterol. However, coconut oil also helps to raise HDL cholesterol, which is the “good” kind. In addition to the fact that some HDLs are known to lower LDL levels, it has led to the trend of using coconut oil for health benefits. The increase of HDL is also especially true when coconut oil is used in replacement of carbohydrates in the diet according to CNN.

However, this is where things get tricky. While coconut oil may raise HDL levels, there is still no evidence to suggest that the type of HDL created from coconut oil is the kind that also lowers the level of LDL.

“There’s been debate about the role of HDL,” Dr. Willett said. “Partly because there are many forms of HDL which have different health consequences… which has made the water murky.”

There is also little actual quantified research when it comes to the effects of coconut oil on the body. And, unfortunately, this sort of research takes time in order to see what the long-term effects of consuming coconut oil are.

So, in the meantime, experts are suggesting that consumers cut back their coconut oil intake and save it for special occasions.

“It’s not that you have to absolutely avoid coconut oil, but rather limit coconut oil to where you really need that special flavor, like for Thai food or for baking a special dessert,” Willett said.

The American Heart Association also recommends that it is “better to enjoy the use of coconut oil on your skin than in your food.”

12 Books Every Woman Under 30 Should Read Now

Storytelling is an art as old as time. Designed to bond us together in the human experience, to teach us, to guide us, and to enlighten us, a well-told story can change how we relate to our world. When it comes to relating to the world as a woman, then, these are the books that have shaped how I feel about who I am, who I want to be, and maybe even how to bridge the gap between the two. What are your suggestions?

1. If You Have To Cry, Go Outside, Kelly Cutrone

Founder of fashion PR firm People’s Revolution, as well as some-time The Hills star, Cutrone breaks down in her exact, no-holds-barred trademark style, advice on navigating the ride to becoming your own “power bitch”. Cutrone advocates for every woman between 18 and 32 to purposefully go forth to give birth to themselves, and this book is part anecdote, part workable action steps, to doing just that.

2. Tiny Beautiful Things: Advice on Love and Life From Dear Sugar, Cheryl Strayed

Another advice book, Dear Sugar is heartfelt, gentle, loving prompts from the same school of thought as Cutrone, but delivered with a little more sweet for the sass. Strayed has lived a thousand lives, and isn’t afraid to tell her readers about them as she helps lost, lonely souls come to terms with abuse, confusion, cheating, drugs and death.

3. The Paris Wife, Paula McLain

A fictional account of the marriage of Ernest Hemmingway and Hadley Richards, The Paris Wife, charts with heartbreaking clarity what it is not only to fall in love – but what it costs to stay there. Witty, sharp, and enough to make you want to teleport back to Jazz-era 1920’s Paris, this one made me hopeful for love – and the courage to pursue it.

4. The Fabulous Girl’s Guide to Decorum, Kim Izzo and Ceri Marsh

This book taught me everything I know about modern etiquette. Marsh and Izzo declare that good manners make you sexy – that the well mannered get invited to more dinner parties, see their career aspirations blossom, and have a wider array of friends and suitors. I believe that to be true.

5. The Fire Starter Sessions, Danielle LaPorte

I send this book to all my favourite people. It’s an “apathy-kicking, integrity-infusing guide to defining success on your own terms”, where spirituality meets real-world application. Goals with soul is the name of the game – and the game is feeling good.

6. The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Milan Kundera

This book taught me about exactly how goddamn awful humans can be to each other in love, and sex, and romance. Kundra is a philosopher when it comes to all, and after reading this book I was changed.

7. Life After Life, Kate Atkinson

What happens if we get the chance to live over and over? What would we do differently? Atkinson floored me with this exploration of war-time Britishness, wherein Ursula, a woman who opens the narrative by shooting Hitler before his rise to power, explores all the very many different ways her life could’ve gone, in a Sliding Doors approach to all the things we women could’ve been, or will be.

8. Changing My Mind, Zadie Smith

Smith is brilliant, and this book taught me how to think. From Obama to Keats to having a famous rapper for a brother, Smith writes sharply and wisely in ways that will you see pass off her opinions as your own.

9. A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Betty Smith

The sweetest, most lovely story about growing from a girl to a woman that there ever was. A classic for a reason.

10. This Is The Story Of A Happy Marriage, Anne Patchett

A collection of essays from Patchett’s decades of journalism and memoir, Happy Marriage is less about an actual marriage, and more about the relationship the author has with herself. From police academy to her dog, a disastrous first matrimony to writing as a way of life, Patchett is the finest example of living not only widely, but oh so deeply. Her prose also happens to be a master class in great writing, too.

11. Eat, Pray, Love, Elizabeth Gilbert

This book is the permission slip most of us need to go on right ahead to live for the sake of living – to explore what makes us happy for no other reason that the alternative is just too damned depressing. Via Italy, India, and Indonesia, Gilbert embarks on the ultimate heroine’s journey as she uses travel as a way to re-connect with herself. I dare you to finish this and not want to book a flight at the end of it.

12. Fifty Shades of Grey, E.L. James

Say what you want about the quality of the prose, 50 Shades captured the imagination of women across the globe in a sexual revolution for a reason. Undertones of controlling and abuse aside, if you take nothing from the sex scenes other than a renewed appreciation for experimenting just a little, it’s worth it. Go get your freak on.

Pogba reveals why he has under-performed for Manchester United this season

- Paul Pogba is yet to hit top gear for Man United this season

- The 25-year-old and Mourinho have been involved in a row

- The Frenchman has been linked with Juventus and Barcelona

France star Paul Pogba has blamed his recent form with Manchester United on his late return from the World Cup.

The World Cup winner returned of United's training camp days before the start of the new Premier League season.

United kicked off the new season with a 2-1 victory over Leicester City at Old Trafford with Pogba unable to play 90 minutes due to a lack in fitness.

The 25-year-old's difficult start to the campaign continued as the Red Devils lost two of their opening four matches, putting much pressure on the Frenchman.

Pogba has called a truce with Jose Mourinho after agreeing to remain with United in January - but admitted that circumstances could change later in the season.

When asked if he was "fed up" with all the speculation in England about his relationship with United manager Jose Mourinho, the attacking midfielder said: "It's not me who's talking.

"I'm trying to work on myself physically. I got back late (from the World Cup), so I'm trying to perform as well as possible.

"I'm just trying to do my job and for the rest there'll always be talk."

The former Juventus star was speaking after France's 0-0 draw with Germany, however those comments came after an earlier interview he gave to Sky Germany that did add to the uncertainty surrounding his happiness at Old Trafford.

"My future is currently in Manchester," he said. "I still have a contract. I'm playing there at the moment, but who knows what will happen in the next few months?"

On Mourinho, he added: "We have a pure coach-player relationship. That's how it is.

"One thing I can assure you: I will always give 100 percent, regardless for which coach. I always give everything for United - I cannot say more."

The United academy graduate Pogba returned to the Premier League side after four successful years with Juventus for a then world-record transfer fee of £89million in 2016.
