1. Focus on the Goal and not on the distraction:
Whether it's a project, vacation, or a skill you want to hone, focus your thoughts, energy, and actions on how it feels to get closer to something that really matters to you.
2. Focus on the Future rather than the past:
Successful people focus on what they will create and not on the circumstances that brought them to this point.
3. Focus on Blessings and not on Regrets:
Cultivate an attitude of gratitude by sharing your abundance with those around you. Not only will you feel good, but your mindset will shift, helping you to create more of what you want and less of what you don't.
4. Focus on Lessons Learnt and not Offence:
The purpose of lessons learned is to bring together any insights gained during a project that can be usefully applied on future projects. Don’t beat yourself up by how the lesson was communicated.
5. Focus on Love and not on Hate:
Someone did something sneaky, nasty or mean to you, and now you hate him for it. You’re absolutely right. What they did was wrong but hating is bad for you. It’s unhealthy and you can’t be happy until you trash it.
6. Focus on you not on the opinion of others:
When you concentrate on what's important, you'll think less about the opinions of others.
Another person's opinion is often based not on your beliefs and behavior but on theirs. What's good for them may be terrible for you, or vice versa. Be who you want to be from your own perspective.
7. Focus on the Good not the bad:
When we give over our power to others and allow their impressions to become how we are perceived, we lose out on who we really are. The only reality we can see is how we believe others see us. Focus on the good.
