Fayose Campaign for 2019

Fayose wants military to shift attention to Fulani herdsmen menace

The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has called on the military to direct its “operations Python Dance and Crocodile Smile” to those areas in Nigeria, especially the North Central States of Benue, Plateau as well as North East States like Taraba and Adamawa where Fulani herdsmen are killings Nigerians and destroying farmlands worth several billions of naira.

The governor, who described the reported threat by Miyeitti Allah Kautal Hore, a splinter group of Miyeitti Allah Cattle Breeders Association; over the Benue State Anti-Open Grazing Law as reckless and open threat against the sovereignty of Nigeria, added that the silence of the President Muhammadu Buhari led government over the Fulani herdsmen menace was a sign of complicity on the part of the federal government.

In a statement in Ado Ekiti on Monday, by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose said; “If the Federal Government does not want to be seen as protecting the Fulani herdsmen, attention of the Army’s python that is dancing in the Southeast and crocodile that is smiling in the Southwest and South South should be focused on the killer herdsmen.”

He said the alarm raised by Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom over an alleged plan by Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore to launch fresh attacks on Benue State, should worry lover of peace in Nigeria, adding that; “The moment a state governor begins to raise alarm as done by Governor Ortom, those playing ostrich to the Fulani herdsmen menace should know that they can no longer pretend that all is well.”

Accusing the federal government of always looking the other way whenever Fulani herdsmen attack and kill Nigerians, Governor Fayose said; “On June 17, 2007, when clash between herdsmen and local farmers in the Mambila area of Taraba State resulted in casualty from both sides – herdsmen and local farmers, soldiers were promptly deployed.

“However, the same federal government that responded swiftly when local farmers in Taraba State confronted the Fulani herdsmen, leading to casualties from both sides; never responded in such a swift manner to previous attacks carried out by the Fulani, even when villages of the locals in the state were sacked.

“Within just 48 hours of the clash between the Fulani herdsmen and the local farmers in Mambila Plateau, the Taraba state police commissioner moved in, army battalions moved in and a military surveillance helicopter was dispatched. This did not happen when herdsmen were committing genocide against the villagers in Agatu in Benue State, Southern Kaduna, Kogi, Ekiti, and Delta States.

“Are we now to believe that it is only when Nigerians choose to defend themselves against the killer herdsmen that the federal government will act swiftly?

“Like I have maintained, pastoralists do not have rights to destroy other people’s farmlands, invade homes and rape people’s wives and daughters? Rather, people who are into cattle farming should be able to provide feeds for their animals and the federal government must not be seen as protecting the interests of the herdsmen against those of other Nigerians”

WHY IS CHRISTMAS DAY ON THE 25TH?

I usually ask myself why 25th, why is Christmas not celebrated say on 1st January or any other day. The thought of it led me into this and it might probably help you too.
Well even if you have not thought of this, you should at least know it.

Christmas is celebrated to remember the birth of of Jesus Christ, who Christians believe is the Son of God.

The name 'Christmas' comes from the Mass of Christ (or Jesus). A Mass service (which is sometimes called Communion or Eucharist) is where Christians remember that Jesus died for us and then came back to life. The 'Christ-Mass' service was the only one that was allowed to take place after sunset (and before sunrise the next day), so people had it at Midnight! So we get the name CHRIST MASS, shortened to Christmas.

Christmas is now celebrated by people around the world, whether they are Christians or not. It's a time when family and friends come together and remember the good things they have. People, and especially children, also like Christmas as it's a time when you give and receive presents!

THE DATE OF CHRISTMAS

No one knows the real birthday of Jesus! No date is given in the Bible, so why do we celebrate it on the 25th December?
The early Christians certainly had many arguments as to when it should be celebrated! Also, the birth of Jesus probably didn't happen in the year 1 but slightly earlier, somewhere between 2 BCE/BC and 7 BCE/BC (there isn't a 0 - the years go from 1 BC/BCE to 1!).

The first recorded date of Christmas being celebrated on December 25th was in 336, during the time of the Roman Emperor Constantine (he was the first Christian Roman Emperor). A few years later, Pope Julius I officially declared that the birth of Jesus would be celebrated on the 25th December.

However, there are many different traditions and theories as to why Christmas is celebrated on December 25th.

A very early Christian tradition said that the day when Mary was told that she would have a very special baby, Jesus (called the Annunciation) was on March 25th - and it's still celebrated today on the 25th March. Nine months after the 25th March is the 25th December! March 25th was also the day some early Christians thought the world had been made, and also the day that Jesus died on when he was an adult. The date of March 25th was chosen because people had calculated that was the day on which Jesus died as an adult (the 14th of Nisan in the Jewish calendar) and they thought that Jesus was born and had died on the same day of the year.
Christmas is near, you should know the reason why it is done and why on that day

The Fetish materials in front of the departmental office complex
In what looked like a pay-back for ‘no-nonsense’ lecturer, final year students of Human Nutrition and Dietetics department of University of Nigeria (UNN), have allegedly dumped what is described as ‘diabolical’ materials in front of their departmental complex with a note directing the fetish materials to go to work against their lecturers.
The students were said to have rebelled against their lecturers for daring to fail a good number of them, leaving about 50 of the 2016/2017 graduating students behind while passing just 30 in a class of 80 students.
Some angry students prepared what appears to be juju (a calabash containing ‘charms’, feathers and broken eggs), dumped them on a red cloth in front of their departmental office, and leaving a note that said “since una no wan make we go…una go DIE here with us .”
Speaking on the matter, a student of the institution simply identified as Onyeka, who happened to be one of the witnesses who gathered at the sight of the ‘juju’ said ” I think the students went too far this time but sometimes this is what suits some of these stubborn and wicked lecturers we have these days.”

Nigeria with the highest number of out of school children in Africa

Source: AIT
The international day of the girl-child may have come and gone but key players have continued to engage issues bordering on the welfare of the girl-child.

Many say that for Nigeria to achieve success with the sustainable development goals (SDGS) policies aimed at promoting social freedom and financial empowerment for the girl-child must be given priority.

Nigeria is said to have the highest number of out of school children in Africa. Statistics show that out of the fifty-seven million out of school children worldwide, Nigeria accounts for about ten million. This development, analysts say calls for urgent attention.

They therefore want government to encourage the girl-child through affordable education and financial empowerment. AIT

Ghen Ghen, Another marriage saga

YOU KNOW SAY OYIBO GET PEPPER THEM GANG ABI
Women o, biko scrutinise any man before you rush and say I do… And be sure of what you’re accepting to avoid public embarrasment and international scandals!!!

Last night the story of one Mr. something something kufre Ukpong who is legally married to an oyibo woman yet came down to Nigeria to take another wife kinda went viral.

I noticed that most people who have reacted to the story so far are bashing the man for stringing the Abak girl blindly along and how the girl and her family did not do proper investigation… blah, blah, blah. After reading the story from people’s timeline last night, the curious part of me came alive, I quickly put on my FBI cap and sprung into action. So this is what I personally gathered from the whole saga:

The Nigerian girl may have known about the guy’s marital status, she knew the Ukpong guy has a child, guess she also knew the oyibo woman was nothing more than a trophy wife.
So this was the plot, I think; the man marries this Miss Gill, acquires American or Uk Citizenship, dumps the cougar’s sorry ass, comes back home to Nigeria, marries his true love, takes her with him to Obodo Oyibo and they’ll live happily ever after.

Who no wan go Obodo Oyibo?
I hear the land is ever green and frosh over there. Who no like better things kwa? That aside, we know say husbands no too too dey this Akwa Ibom, na boyfriends full ground. So I don’t blame the sister all that mbok, she cannod come and dull let this golden opportunity to change surname and bear Mrs and go Obodo Oyibo pass her by.

Unfortunately the plot did not quite go down as planned, what is a story without conflicts, suspense, and plot twists anyways?
Just when the newly wedded thought they’ve made it, the Antagonist (Mrs Gill) shows up like a Pro’… Lol.  You know when you’re watching a movie, after plenty plenty suspense the Actor finally kills the Boss, the Actor’s love interest alights from an helicopter with tears of victory in her eyes, runs towards the Hero in slow motion and covers his bloodstained mouth with her luscious lips. As they’re busy kissing, everyone thinks the movie has finally come to an end, uwafid happy ending. Instead of sha seeing “To God be the Glory” as expected, a gunshot is fired from somewhere. Gheng Gheng!!! Anticlimax things, the Boss didn’t die…

That’s how Mrs. Gill showed up in the Ukpong’s marriage saga story like a Boss Lady. They say hell knows no fury like a woman scorned. My brothers when you want to scorn someborri, don’t go and be scorning OYIBO PEPPER THEM GANG OOo because a Nigerian woman fit temper small justice with mercy but Oyibo women don’t take no s**iiii* i love this oyibo woman craze. I know this movie will have part 2,3 and 4.

Oyibo woman show this man pepper upandan for me.They tink they’re wicked abi?

Lesson for all especially desperados!

WELCOME TO REPUBLIC OF MESSI

REPUBLIC OF MESSI: AFTER INDEPENDENCE, BARCELONA HAVE LEO-DEPENDENCE

Lionel Messi, Barcelona
The Argentine popped up all over the pitch in the 2-0 win at San Mames, started the move for the first and also scored in an omnipresent performance
Article continues below

After Catalan independence, Messi-dependence for Barcelona. On Friday, the region officially declared secession from Spain and on Saturday, the Argentine attacker showed why he too is considered different from the rest.

Evergreen striker Aritz Aduriz twice came close to giving Athletic Club the lead in the Basques' first fixture against their former coach Ernesto Valverde, but Barca goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen made two fine saves.

Barcelona 13/2 to win Champions League

Perhaps that clicked Lionel Messi into life, because a minute later he dribbled through the home side's defence and looked certain to slot the ball into the net, only to hit the post. It was an uncharacteristic mistake from the five-time Ballon d'Or winner, although he himself had created the opening with his remarkable run.

Barca were playing in fits and starts, but everything seemed to blossom at the feet of Messi. And after his earlier miss, he made amends by starting and finishing a majestic move.

Messi advanced, passed to Paulinho, got the ball back from the Brazilian, then picked out Jordi Alba, continued into the area and was there to drill home from the full-back's cross.

Athletic Barca score

With Andres Iniesta missing through injury, Neymar gone, Luis Suarez badly off form and Ousmane Dembele sidelined, it was all about Messi in this match - just as it has been so often in the past.

In the second half, the Argentine tracked back to help out with defensive duties and his late run ultimately set up the Catalans' second of the night for Paulinho after Suarez saw his shot saved by Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Earlier on Saturday, Tottenham lost to Manchester United without Harry Kane at Old Trafford, while Real Madrid struggled earlier on in the season when Cristiano Ronaldo was handed a five-match domestic suspension. Other top teams are also reliant upon their finest footballers.

Madrid travel to Girona on Sunday in a game that was under threat due to safety concerns after the declaration of independence in Catalunya on Friday and coach Pablo Machin was asked about Ronaldo and Messi ahead of that game.

Lionel Messi Barcelona Bilbao

Lionel Messi Barcelona Bilbao

"They are two very good footballers and two amazing teams," he said. "But there's a greater dependency on Messi at Barcelona than Cristiano at Madrid." And he added: "When Messi doesn't score, he gives an assist or starts the play."

On Saturday, that is exactly what he did. He started the moves and finished the first, before setting up the second as well. As a playmaker and a forward, he is independent from the rest right now and his fantastic form means Barcelona are untouchable too in La Liga at the moment.

Catalunya might not need Spain to prosper in future, but Barcelona depend on their main man more than ever. Welcome to the Republic of Messi!

Commissioner wades into Tagbo's death

FOLLOWING the uproar on the death of Tagbo Umpire whose corpse was allegedly dumped by Davido at a General Hospital earlier this week, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgar has reportedly invited Davido and actress Caroline Danjuma for talks.

According to reports, Davido during the meeting provided CCTV footage showing him and the late Tagbo at Shisha room to show that he left before Tagbo’s death and that the deceased wasn’t in his car as claimed by Caroline.

According to information, Linda Ikeji’s blog reached out to Caroline for further comment on Tagbo’s demise and she declined comments, saying it’s now a family issue and she won’t be making any more comments without Tagbo’s family signing off on it.

“I don’t have anything to share with you because I’m not the only one in this picture, there are family members involved, so I can’t just start sharing things with you without the approval of the family members, if there’s an approval, I’ll let you know,” she was reported to have said.

She also didn’t say if there are any burial plans for the late Tagbo. The Nation

Na Wa o! “I Regret Bleaching My Skin”, laments Popular Ghanaian Boxer, Says He Was Bleaching To Become Ghana’s Ambassador to Germany
Chinenye Nwabueze October 26, 2017 Others 32 Comments

You won’t believe the hilarious reason why a popular Ghanaian boxer began to bleach in the first place.

Ghanaian boxer, Braimah Kamoko, also known as Bukom Banku has said he regrets bleaching, according to a report by AdomNews. The boxer who had been flaunting his heavily bleached skin some months back had admitted that he was bleaching to become Ghana’s ambassador to Germany.

What will you call nnamdi kanu:A leader,a fool or a traitor ?

Ejiofor kingsley, 2015054137
Recently Alhaji Hassan Danbaba, the grandson of the late Premier of the northern region, Sir Ahmadu Bello, labelled Kanu a ‘coward’ for reportedly fleeing Nigeria to London.
He described Kanu as a misguided element, who thought he could return home to set Nigeria on fire, and take to his heels as he had allegedly done now.
He even went as far as advising Buhari to deal decisively with anyone or group who would want to plunge the nation into another civil war.
Following that, not long after Ifeanyi Ejiofor, a lawyer to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu reacted to the statement credited to a former governor of Abia state Orji Uzor-Kalu on the whereabouts of his client.
Ejiofor in a statement he released lately described the former governor as “a drowning man looking for where to perch”. He also said Uzor-Kalu is desperately searching for temporary freedom, accusing the former governor of effort that he could end Kanu’s agitation, Ejiofor asked the former governor to make it clearly know if he was in the company of the soldiers during the invasion of his client’s residence.
Last week, we heard that again that Nnamdi Kanu, through his lawyers, Ifeanyi Ejiofor and Amoebi Nzelu, has called for negotiation with the Federal Government to end the agitation for self-governance.
Now, my question is: Is Nnamdi Kanu A Leader, fool Or traitor?
I only need opinions and don’t take this personal in anyways. Insultive comments are not welcome.

Nwankwo Amarachukwu, 2015054115 (Quiz no.82)
The police in Enugu State have arrested a man who allegedly stabbed a commercial sex worker to death on Sunday, following a disagreement he had with the woman.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) SP Ebere Amaraizu, in a statement he issued on Monday, said that the incident happened at about 3:30 a.m. at Onuato Street, Enugu.
Amaraizu said that the victim accompanied the suspect to his apartment where they had a disagreement which resulted in a scuffle that led to her death.
He said that the suspect, who picked up the sex worker at Rangers Avenue on Oct. 22, had agreed with her that he would pay her N4,000 after passing the night with him.The PPRO quoted the suspect as disclosing that he had drunk to his fill and that on arrival, because it was already getting late, he demanded that they had sex immediately.
“His request did not influence anything as the deceased allegedly requested to finish what she was inhaling in order to be in the mood for the business of the day. “The accused maintained that after several hours of pressuring her and without any answer, he slept off and woke up before 3 a.m.,” Amarizu stated.
The police spokesman said that the accused immediately ordered the sex worker to leave the apartment since the aim of bringing her appeared to have been defeated.
“The accused said that the deceased resisted the order and allegedly warned him to beware as she would not succumb to any person’s threat whatsoever. “She later headed for a kitchen knife that was seen in the kitchen spot of the suspect’s room after allegedly biting him. “The accused further revealed that a fight suddenly broke out between them and as the deceased tried to stab him to death with the kitchen knife, he overpowered her,” he said.
Amarizu quoted the suspect as saying that the kitchen knife went straight to the stomach of the deceased and he finally stabbed her on the neck region and she died.
The police spokesman said that the accused later wrapped her body and hurriedly arranged to travel to Lagos.
According to him, the suspect was nabbed, following a tip off from members of a local vigilante.

He said that the body was recovered from the apartment and deposited at the mortuary of the Eastern Nigeria Medical Centre, Enugu, as investigations into the incident had commenced.

He  said past Africa leaders from Ghana to Tanzania and down South African had long foreseen what the continent is going through today in terms of it issues and manner at which it should be disseminated but those present at that time never took such words seriously.
Prof Nwuneli said since pre-colonial days the masters had never given Africa the chance to think outside the box because politicians have transformed from ‘something’ to ‘nothing’.
He observed that the African Council for Communication Education (ACCE) was established and later collapsed as a result of funding gaps, adding that Prof. Blake single-handedly raised the Nigeria chapter.
The Chair of the conference opening ceremony, Nana Pratt, said, “Intercultural dialogue is a factor in the equation for realizing positive intra- and inter-group relationships in sustaining the present peace in the country.
There were presentations on the life of Prof. Blake from when he was a singer to being a freelance journalist to SLBC and Daily mail. He was a Minister of Information, program officer for UNESCO in Kenya and later Nigeria. Memories were shared by many friends and close relatives including SLAJ President Kelvin Lewis.
Among the Nigerian contingent to the 4th Prof. Sobowale Conference held in Free Town Sierra Leone are Professor Idowu Sobowale (Atlantic Uni), Prof. Onuora Nwuneli (Eminent Scholar in Africa and currently Traditional Ruler of Igbakwu community in Ayamelum LGA of Anambra state), Prof. Umaru Pate (Bayero Uni, Kano), Prof. Lai Oso (LASU), Prof. Innocent Okoye (UNILLORIN), Prof. Olufemi Onabajo (Caleb Uni), Prof. Rotimi Olatunji (LASU), Dr. Sandra Ladi Adamu (ABU, Zaria), Dr. Oladokun Omojola (Covenant Uni), Dr. Olusola Oyero (Covenant Uni), Dr. Mike Ukonu (UNN), Dr. Ben-Collins Ndinojuo (UNIPORT), Dr. Nwabueze, C. Former President Goodluck Jonathan says he is surprised that those who criticised him for leaving the pump price of fuel at N87 are not speaking out now that it has been jerked up to N143.

By Obiechina Ifunanya Vivian, 2016054028/DE *Quiz no.21* *Group 13*
In 2012, Jonathan’s administration increased fuel price from N67 to N97 but reduced it to N87 in January 2015.

At the time, the move was seen as political, given that it was in an election year.

Speaking on Thursday when Tunde Adeniran, one of the chairmanship aspirants of the PDP, visited him in his Abuja office, Jonathan defended the decisions he took on the price of fuel.

In what seems to be an indirect attack on the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Jonathan said the PDP led Nigerians well in its 16 years of being in power  “even though some people came up with propaganda and lies that 16 years of the party in government was a waste”.

“My government was severely criticised for increasing the pump price of petroleum from N67 to N97 at a time that global crude price was going for over 100 dollars,” Ikechukwu Eze, Jonathan’s spokesman, quoted him as saying.

“The pump price was later reduced to N87 when the price of crude oil dropped and they attacked us that it was supposed to be lower.

“Those who criticised my administration are not talking again now that the global crude oil is about 53 dollars per barrel and the pump price of petrol is N143.”

He said the PDP needs a chairman that can return it to government and as well correct a sitting president if he makes mistake.

“We must do the right thing. We must elect a chairman that will run the party democratically,” the former president said.

“We need a courageous chairman that knows that imposition is destructive.

“We need a chairman who by God’s grace if we win election by 2019, when the president makes certain mistakes, he will be courageous enough to correct him.

“We need a chairman that can lead us to victory and sustain that victory.

“What we need is a person that can give proper leadership for this country, a chairman that can lead us to elect good material for the presidency.

“We need a chairman that will bring the proper change and economic growth for this country.”

Dambazau lied against me, I didn’t reinstate Maina - Head of Service cries out

By light ifurueze

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita, has replied minister of interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau over Maina’s reinstatement

- Dambazau said that Maina was deployed to the interior ministry in an acting capacity following the retirement of the director in charge of the human resources department

- Oyo-Ita, however, said that that the reinstatement and posting of Alhaji Abdulrasheed Abdullahi Maina never emanated from the HoS.

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita, on Monday, October 23 said there was no truth in the reports that she approved the reinstatement of a former Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms, Abdulrasheed Maina, and his subsequent posting to the Ministry of Interior.

Punch reports that in a statement by her assistant director, media relations, Mohammed Manga, the HoS insisted that Maina’s reinstatement and posting did not emanate from her office
“The attention of the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation has been drawn to several media reports that the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation has approved the reinstatement into the Federal Civil Service of Alhaji Abdulrasheed Abdullahi Maina and his subsequent posting to the ministry of interior.

“The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation wishes to inform the public that the reinstatement and posting of Alhaji Abdulrasheed Abdullahi Maina never emanated from the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.

“Consequently, the purported reinstatement and posting by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation is totally erroneous and misleading.”

Oyo-Ita’s claim contradicts the position of the Minister of Interior, Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd.), who had earlier absolved himself from complicity in the matter.
Dambazau had said Maina, who was declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), was posted to his ministry by the Head of Service a few days ago.

The minister, in a statement signed by his press secretary, Ehisienmen Osaigbovo, in Abuja on Sunday, October 22, said Maina was deployed to the interior ministry in an acting capacity following the retirement of the director in charge of the human resources department.

The statement read, “The ex-chairman of the Presidential Task Force Team on Pension Reforms, Abdulrasheed Maina, was posted a few days ago to the Ministry of Interior by the Office of the Head of Service in an acting capacity to fill a vacancy following the retirement of the director heading the human resources department in the ministry.”

It added, “For the avoidance of doubt, issues relating to discipline, employment, re-engagement, posting, promotion and retirement of federal civil servants are the responsibility of the Federal Civil Service Commission and the office of the Head of Service of the Federation, of which no minister exercises such powers as erroneously expressed.”

Governor fayose faults reinstatement and promotion of wanted former pension boss,Abdulrasheed maina

Ejiofor kingsley chukwuma,2015054137
Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose, has reacted to the reinstatement and promotion of wanted former Chairman of the defunct Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms, Abdulrasheed Maina. Maina has been declared wanted for corrupt practices by the International Police Organisation, (INTERPOL) after he was dismissed from office by the Civil Service Commission in 2013 for allegedly committing N2.1 Billion pension fraud while in office. He has reportedly been evading arrest by the EFCC since his indictment. Maina while in office is alleged to paid $2 million cash for an Abuja mansion he bought.
The Ministry of Interior confirmed on Sunday that Maina, who is still on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s, (EFCC) wanted list, was reabsorbed and promoted to the position of Director of Human Resources at the ministry following recommendations from the Office of the Head of Service.
Reacting to the news, Fayose in a tweet shared on his twitter handle, mocked the President Buhari anti-corruption campaign. He wrote “Someone accused of stealing billions of pension fund was returned to the FG civil service and you still think Buhari is fighting corruption?”

See what this youth corp member did in yone state.

A youth Corp member by name Ukatu Okwudiri Benedict serving in Potiskum L.G.A Yobe state organises a spelling Bee Competition among secondary schools in the state.
This young man is an example to both serving youth Corp members and prospective youth corp members.
Hear His Story:
I am an Anambra state born Youth Corp member with state code number YB/16B/3118 serving my country in the NYSC scheme in Yobe state. I am serving as an ICT teacher in Government Girls Science and Technical College (GGSTC), Potiskum.
On getting to Yobe state and seeing the standard of education available to the students, I resolved to embark on a personal CDS aimed at promoting literacy in and around the state, this I did by organise an inter-secondary school spelling Bee competition.
This was done with the hope that the competition will ignite in the student the fire of academic zeal and build in them a competitive spirit that would spore the students to greater height in the future.
Apart from the fact that so many refused to support me on the ground that I am Igbo (Yamiri) which was a major challege, through this adventure, I learn that the North is backward academically isn't because of the fact that the poor are reluctant to go to school but it is because a few individuals (the rich) don't want them to. Imagine a situation whereby bank managers, Some Yobe state University HOD's and lectures, Politicians and most corporate bodies refused bluntly to support me in organising a competition that didn't cost more than #40,000 to organise.
The smiling face of the students gave me all the satisfaction one could ever ask for. I decided to have it publicized because I want the news of its success to trouble those who prior to the organisation refused to support me because of one unnecessary reason or the other.
To have pulled it off is a surprise that wouldn't have been possible without the Z.I, L.G.I, Emir's of Potiskum, last but not the least the students and administrator's of GGSTC. May God continue to bless you all abundantly.
Amen.

I will send rumour mongers to jail-Amosun

Odike stella amaka 2015054126 (120)
Ogun State governor, Senator,Ibikunle Amosun on
Friday vowed to smoke out those purveying
rumours and falsehoods against him, and ensure
the are sent to jail.
The governor while speaking at the June 12
Cultural Centre, Abeokuta, the Ogun State
capital, during a Town Hall meeting of
stakeholders for the 2018 Budget, veered off the
prepared speech and ckeared the air on some
speculations against him.
The meeting was organized by the state’s
Ministry of Budget and Planning for the purpose
of collecting inputs of all stakeholders and build
them into the preparation of the 2018 Executive
Appropriation Bill, but Amosun used the avenue
to clear air on rumours being circulated against
him.
The governor accused some unnamed politicians,
whom he said, are aspiring to govern Ogun State
in 2019, of being responsible for the spate of
falsehood churned out against him and his
administration.
The Governor who cited the reported raid of his
Lagos home by the Operatives of the Economic
and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) as the
latest in the series of falsehoods being circulated
against him, vowed to “smoke out” the
perpetrators and jail them.
He dismissed the recent rumour of EFCC raid on
his home as a “concoction of idiots”
He said instead of those aspiring to govern the
state to tell residents how they intend to
transform the state and make it better, they have
resorted to engaging some “idiots” who would sit
in a room space to concoct falsehood in the vain
hope that lies and rumour mongering would help
the governorship aspirations of their masters.
Amosun also broke his silence on a case of a
lady on National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)
who was rumoured to have had twin – babies for
him in less than a year ago.
The Governor lamented that the rumour gained
so much currency that his Mother – In-law had
to call him to confirm if what she heard about a
‘second wife’ having twins for him was true or
not.
He said he has been married to his wife, Mrs
Olufunso Amosun, in the last 26 years and had
never kept a girl friend, let alone having one that
delivered twins for him, adding that the rumoured
twins issue also got to the notice of his wife.
He noted that task of keeping one wife is even
challenging today in Nigeria and had no plans
whatsoever to double such challenges with
additional baggage.
He noted that those purveyors of falsehood could
beat James Hadley Chase to it in “fiction
concoction” in bids to malign him.
On the expected 2018 budget, Amosun said his
administration would make judicious use of it,
adding that he work round the clock to ensure
that all on – going programmes and projects
were completed on or before May, 2019.
He called on the Federal Government and the
National Emergency Management Agency
(NEMA), to make provision for special funds to
be disbursed to some states which had put
infrastructure in place to prevent flooding.
According to him, giving fund and relief materials
to the states ravaged by flood is good but others
that put measures in place to avert flooding in
their respective states should also be rewarded
with fund as a form of encouragement.
